Parkland Medical Center, an 86-bed acute care facility, is located in the heart of Derry, New Hampshire. We are a Trauma III facility that offers a wide range of services such as heart and vascular care, robotics surgery, interventional spine and pain care, and behavioral health. Essential Functions include but are not limited to:

Remainsin constant attendance observing the patient unless relieved by another staffmember
Monitorsand observes patient’s behavior, condition and safety
Reportsany change to nursing staff immediately
Obtainsshift report and plan of care for shift from assigned RN
Callsnursing staff to attend to patient care needs
Anticipatesneed for assistance in providing safety for patient
Competentin proper use of restraints
Orientsand reorients patient as appropriate
Engagespatient in therapeutic activities, if appropriate
Maintainscleanliness of patient care area
Communicates effectively with physicians, other providers, patients and families
Promotesinternal and external customer satisfaction
Buildsand promotes a culture of service excellence and continuous improvement
Works as scheduled and is compliant withAttendance and Tardiness Policy

Qualifications

Qualificationsand Experience:

Required: Health care experience or experience with illand/or confused patients; American Heart Association BLS and CPI within 3months of hire
Preferred: New Hampshire Licensed Nursing Assistant(LNA); geriatric or mental health experience
